Got a question? Below are the most common questions and answers. For anything else please call us and we will be happy to help!

  • When you register and order with us, you will receive an ID code in the format "NLLAB0000000" which needs to be entered into the UK Government Passenger Location Form. You will receive one code per person which will be used for ball Day 2, Day 5 and Day 8 testing.

  • For all International Arrivals for Entry into the UK, Day 2 and Day 8 testing must be booked in advanced before you travel. You can register and book online with us in just 5minutes, so you can relax and travel in confidence.

  • Day 2 testing can be conducted at any time between the day of your arrival (Day 0) and 2 full days after (Day 2). Once the test is complete we are required to process your result within a 48hour period, although we test the samples the same day they arrive at our Laboratory.

    Day 5 testing must be conducted no earlier than 5 full days after your arrival. For example even if you arrive Sunday morning or Sunday night (Day 0), Monday is your Day 1 which means your Day 5 test can be taken no sooner than Friday at 00:01.

    Day 8 testing must be conducted no earlier than 8 full days after your arrival.

  • All shipments are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24.. Royal Mail do not ship on Sundays. We strongly advise for all Home Test Kits to be ordered no later than 3pm on Thursday to allow Royal Mail to ship your package to arrive before Sunday.

  • All shipments are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24., If you have not received your shipment for your arrival we can locate your parcel with Royal Mail Track and Trace. You can identify your tracking number by logging in our Track a Test app. If you are still unable to track your delivery please contact urgent@nlclinic.co.uk for support

  • All returns are sent with Royal Mail Tracked 24. Royal Mail do not ship on Sundays. We strongly advise for all Home Test Kits to be returned placing your pacage in a Priority Post Box no later than 3pm on Thursday to allow Royal Mail to ship your package to arrive before Sunday.

  • When your test is complete we send all PDF Certificates by Email, please check to see if it has gone to your spam or junk inbox instead. You can also track your test online by logging in our Track a Test app. There you will be able to see if we have received your package, if it is in processing and when your test is complete. You can also download your report on our app if it is available. If you are still unable to locate your report please contact urgent@nlclinic.co.uk for support.

    Note,
    • Day 2 tests can be done on Day 0, 1 or 2 from arrival. Expect results up to 48 hours from receipt in our laboratory. PHE requirement is all Day 2 tests to be sequenced within 72 hours.
    • Day 5 tests must not be conducted no sooner than 5 full days from arrival. Test to Release are always expedited in our laboratory with results processed within 24hours from receipt of the package. i.e. If your package arrives from Royal Mail in the evening it will not be processed until the following day. If your package arrives in the morning it will be processed that day. For more reliable results we advise to visit us in our clinic for Day 5 tests.
    • Day 8 tests must not be conducted no sooner than 8 full days from arrival. Expect results up to 48 hours from receipt in our laboratory.

What is the In-store COVID-19 Testing Service (PCR)?

There are many different reasons why you may want to have a COVID-19 swab test. Maybe you’re traveling abroad, you need a test for work or you’re attending a social event. Our In-store COVID-19 Testing Service (RT-PCR) is a convenient way to get a nose and throat swab PCR test to check for a current COVID-19 infection.

Our service normally has a turnaround of 48 hours, however due to new innovative testing, we are able to provide say day or 12-hour test results for people of urgent need. Call to book an appointment, with same day available. Once your results have been processed you’ll get an email to let you know your results are ready to view, and whether negative or positive, you'll be able to download your results certificate.


Will I be able to fly with this test?

All patients who receive a certificate after their test, providing their result is negative, will be able to fly abroad to all countries. Our certificate is certified fit-to-fly and we have had 1000s of patients use this service this year. NL Clinic will not be liable for any spelling mistakes as this form is filled in by yourself, we will also not be liable for the time of test on the certificate with regards to country entry requirement, this should be calculated by yourself.

You should fill in your information form exactly as to what is on your passport/Identity Card. NL Clinic is not liable for any spelling mistakes made by you and subsequently produced on the certificate.


Who is this service suitable for?

The In-store COVID-19 Testing Service (PCR) is suitable for adults and children of any age. We pride ourselves with the fact that our small business clinic is run by medical professionals, unlike most high-street businesses. Therefore, your test will be produced by trained medical professionals and doctors.

Please let a member of staff know if you have been in contact with someone who has COVID-19 or are experiencing symptoms yourself. We can provide testing for these persons, however extra precautions and testing in a separate sterile room is required.

*If you, anyone in your household or support bubble have any symptoms of COVID-19, or think they may have COVID-19 you should stay at home and follow the latest government guidance.


When should I book my appointment?

If you’re flying abroad, please book your appointment no earlier than 72 hours before your flight. Try to book as close to this time frame as you can. NL Clinic will not be liable for the timing of your test with regards to flight time allowance and this should be calculated by yourself.

This is to make sure you don’t book too early before you travel. If you don’t book within this time frame it’s possible you may not receive your results in time.


How long will my appointment take?

The appointment including the swab test will take about 20 minutes.

• Remember to wear a face mask or covering and maintain social distancing whilst in store. We’re doing all we can in store to help keep our customers and colleagues safe.
• It’s very important that you arrive in store at the correct time for your appointment. If you’re late, we can’t guarantee that we’ll be able to re-schedule your appointment

• The store team will need to see a form of identity to check your identity. Please remember to bring this with you.
• You’ll need to remove your face mask or covering for the swab test. As masks should only be touched with clean hands, you may bring hand sanitiser with you to your appointment
